Trauma-Sensitive Virtual Therapy Class for Adults
This 6-week virtual therapy class is grounded in the principles of Trauma Center Trauma-Sensitive Yoga (TCTSY) and is designed to support nervous system regulation, embodiment, and choice-based healing.
Rather than focusing on performance or “getting it right,” this group emphasizes present-moment awareness, safety, and personal agency. Through gentle, invitational movement and therapeutic support, participants are encouraged to notice internal sensations, reconnect with their bodies, and develop greater capacity to respond to stress and emotion with intention.
This group is especially supportive for adults impacted by trauma, anxiety, depression, or chronic stress who are seeking a body-based, trauma-informed approach to healing.
What is Trauma Center Trauma-Sensitive Yoga (TCTSY)?
TCTSY is an evidence-based, trauma-informed approach developed by the Trauma Center at Justice Resource Institute. It is designed to help individuals

- Reconnect with the body in a safe, non-judgmental way
- Strengthen choice, agency, and self-efficacy
- Support nervous system regulation without requiring verbal processing
This class adapts TCTSY principles within a therapeutic class setting led by licensed psychologist Dr. Ashley Silvera.
